A proud 4-year letterman and quarterback at Murrieta Mesa, Jeff helped lead the Mesa team to historic achievements, including becoming the first varsity football team to defeat Great Oak, make the state playoffs, host a home playoff game, and win a playoff game. Over his high school career, Jeff accumulated 6,007 passing yards and 61 touchdowns, and still holds multiple school records.
